A freind of mine is after buying a JDM EK SiRII and it came with this shield on it. I have seen them before on DC2 ITR's but have failed to find anywhere i can get one from...are there any places in the US selling St May products??
St. May's were selling the Shot Gun exhaust back in late 90's. JDM items don't have very long production life once sales dies out. I think US distributor were Golden Apple / AKT but who knows if they still in business.
Good luck!
Good luck!
That **** is awesome. I just bought a J's and that would be a nice addition to it. If anyone finds out where to get one, PM me. I impulse buy like a ****.

FWIW, Carbling and FEEL'S both offer a shield similar to that

the car is 1997 but the shield looks like it was put on only a few weeks ago, its absolutely mint, no marks/scores anywhere on it and the sticker on the top looks immaculate, you'd think that if it had been on since new (or nearly new) the sticker would be starting to look tatty......
Is that carbling as in carbing but with out the bling? and any idea where to get the Feel's shield from????
The guy who bought the SiR usually only keeps his cars a short while, so guess where that heat shield will end up when he's selling the car.....i just hate having to wait and want one NOW!!!!!!

I don't have pics of either the FEEL'S or Carbing; AJR used to have a Carbing intake kit for sale, but the pic is no longer on their website
The FEEL's and Carbing are similar to the Air Dancer, but both heat shields fully enclose the air filter if I remember correctly. The Carbing is bare aluminum finish and the FEEL's is powdercoated dark blue.
I still think the Gruppe M/M/s Filter Ramcharger is the more elegant solution

I'm totally into this heat shield. I have a J's intake so hopefully one of the two(Carbing or FEEL's) will fit. I'll drop by A&J in about an hour and let you guys know what I found.
Talked to A&J and FEEL's or Carbing do not make a heat shield for DC2, only EK. We looked on the websites to no avail. Another connection could get me a universal one that basically just attaches to the filter and covers the half that faces the engine. Also, I suppose I could route some sort of duct from the rad area that replaces the stock resonaters that are still in my car. A&J said that that is typically what they do for a J's intake install. They also mentioned that heat soak would not be a factor unless you were drag racing, the engine bay gets enough air when tracking or normal driving.
That heat shield still looks dope as **** though, and if I could get one I'd be all over it.

I forgot about the Carbing being only for EK, but I know FEEL'S has the shield for the DC2R; if I can only remember who I gave the EVO (Japan) magazine to...

And people have been making the same thing themselves with rivets and sheet aluminum similar to that as well.

We looked on the website but could not find anything. If you have anymore info on the FEEL'S I would be very interested.
