Default noob Type S swap question

Ok i realize this might be a dumb question, but I thought it'd be worth a shot... I saw a RSX Type S engine for sale and was wondering if it would go in my Lude SH and hook up to the ATTS...

I guess what im asking is if its the same Type S engine.

Nope, and that isnt a dumb question, just a n00b question.

the RSX type-S engine is a version of the K20A
the Prelude Type -S is a version of the H22a

OK... thanks. So do you guys know any sites I can track one down?

Or if I go with a JDM engine/tranny swap, w the LSD tranny, how much would that cost?

Mostly I wanna know if you guys have any sites that are really good and reputable.

getting a prelude Type-S motor is not worth it. the cost is apx. $5,000 for a whopping 20 CRANK hp. if you want to mimic one, spend $400 on a set of Type-S cams and another $300 on a set of Type-S pistons and you will have the exact same thing.

you can get both those from http://n2shop.net
just email them and tell them what you want, it most likely wont be on the site.

The cams and the pistons are the ONLY things that are different? That seems a little unreasonable then.

I am also thinking of getting a just JDM h22a w/ tranny that has LSD and dropping the ATTS. Right now im thinking that would be cheapest.

Oh and i have a blown motor so I cant just switch out thsoe two things...

That link to the website you gave me didn't work.

engine wise yes thats the only difference. the Type S has ATTS.

if you are going to do an engine swap you will either need a new tranny or need to do the NOATTS mod. PM clendaniel for that.

Hands down best swap you can buy is the Accord Euro-R or Type-R motors.

euro-r is H22A - red top
with the best tranny ratios for any h-tranny.

It has no relation to the euro-r though.

I even looked at your FAQ satan, and I dont understand what makes the Euro R H22a better than a H23a Vtec.

And also another question about that thread, are the Spec S and the Type S exactly the same except Type S is accomidated to bolt up to an ATTS tranny while the Spec S can bolt up to any other H tranny?
