Default anyone have burn marks on their gauges from bulb getting too hot?

Not sure if this is in the right forum, but anyway. I took the voltage and oil pressure gauges out of my 'teg to replace them with "better" ones, however I noticed that that are what look to be burn marks on the outside of the gauge assembly, right above where the bulb sits. It seems like the bulb must be getting hot as a mother to cause these marks, and don't really feel safe with them in my car. Any have this happen?

well, they came with the car, so i don't care about those gauges. i have an Apexi tach (which I'm trying to sell) and boost gauge which are nice, but i bought two autometer cobalt series gauges because i want the gauges to match my stock gauges as much as possible. maybe they will be better
