Looking to get a used header and its a greddy SS but its for a 92+ civic. im doing a crx /w y8 minime swap and want to know what would hav eto be changed on it to make it fit, or will it just bolt right up but hang a little low.

 

It will bolt right on, even up to the cat. The only thing you will have to do is either relocate the 02 bung, extend the stock 02 sensor, or the wire in a 4-wire 02 sensor. I am running a DC Sports 4-1 designed for the Y8 no problem on my A6.

 

all you had to do was extended the o2 sensor? you didn't have to modify where it contacted the cat or anything? how low does it hang?

 

Correct, all I did was re-wire my 02 sensor using shielded 18-guage wire. I'll take a picture of it when my power turns back on; right now I'm at my friend's house and the power crews haven't restored my power yet from Charlie. But on my sedan, no drop, I have proper ground clearance, just if you have ac you might have trouble clearing the AC fan.

 

depending on where the o2 sensor bung is you may or may not have to extend the wire..but on most 4-1's the o2 is at the colector

 

there is very little difference in "height" of the header for the 92 up civic - you shouldn't even notice the difference between the two.
