minor clutch squeak normal?
I was just wondering if the cutch squeeking is normal when you press the clutch? ive been noticing this for a while... my fluid is topped up, and super clean if that helps... it kinda sounds a little like when someone is moving around on a bed...
Yes!
My prelude AND my civic do it when the car is cold.
I think you just need to moly or copper grease where the clutch arm/fork is contacted (ball jointed end bit) by the slave piston.

yup anyway i went with a friend to see where the noise was coming from and its the joint right under the engine.. there is a hole in the bushing... i hope it just needs to be oiled and it doesnt need to be changed or anything!
Try greasing the shaft on the slave cylinder. It is located in the engine bay, you have to move the rubber piece to grease it.
The clutch is 'going' when it starts to slip. Its a big, expensive job so drive it until its really bad.. don't worry about it now.

cause now it really isnt slipping at all.. i mean what do you classify as slipping? someone told me to put my car in 5th gear and drive it from 35mph (50km) and see if it accelerates or if it revs up a little... it accelerated perfectly... even at 25mph (40km) it was still good!

wow, I'm glad to see I am not the only one with this problem. I can really hear it when I press it while I'm at a drive thru. Other than that I cannot really hear it at all.
yea, you can hear it in drive-thru's because the sound bounces off the wall. Yea there is nothing you can really do about it and its not hurting anything. Im sure everyone, if they listen for it, has this problem with their lude or other honda. the honda squeek
