Default is a 75 shot too high for 11.5:1 comp ??????????????????

i have an ls vtec with je pistons and crower rods. what i want to know is if a 75 shot would be too much or should i drop the comp ratio and do the shot. its a direct port nitrous kit.

i dont know if this helps, but i know of someone who runs a 125 shot safely on a B16 with type R pistons. i dont know the CR of the type R, i guess high 9's? i think a 75 shot would be safe with an 11.5:1 CR, since you have stronger pistons and rods.

its depend who gonna tuned you car. the a/f its really important .
i said that because i made an engine with 235psi of compresion on a gsr is kinda of almost 11.8 and i`m putting 120 of nitrous i tuned the car with the vtec controller and work perfect.

The most important thing is the octane rating of your fuel.

11.5:1 and a 75 shot with 91 octane is asking for trouble.

I would use race gas (at least 100 octane when you know you are going to spray.

thats true i forgat to tell i1m using cam2 100 octane everytime i hit the buttom.the car run perfect.the nitrous dont care about the compresion its the octane and other stuff.how strong its you engine inside to hold the presure in the chamber.

from what i understand its more about timing then it is c/r. but as long as you have enough fuel (and high enough octane) to go with the nitrous you should be fine. but dont take my word for it find out more about it from experianced nitrous users

I had a 100 shot on my previous b20 setup and the c/r was just about 12.5:1. As long as the fuel is there and it is tuned correctly there usually should not be any issues. Timing is also key in a nitrous build.

I used to have 11.1 CR and a 75 shot (wet). Worked nice on just 93 octane. Used to beat the hell out of it. Ran Strong 100% never had a problem!

ok well i guess i will go ahead and do the 11.5:1 comp ratio as long as i get it tuned etc before i start spraying. you guys think that 91-93 octane will do the trick ?

would go direct port, and definately get it tuned first. You will need to retard the ignition timing, and make sure u have enough fuel. It wouldnt hurt to throw some 110 in the mix with some 91 if ur gonna be spraying it. But i know thats not very convienient.

furiousgreg66@hotmail.com (email ) to this little bitch.

Scammer, why do you have to ruin it for everyone on here. I hate people like you. Give this guy his money back. You will be sorry and yes you will be found. I have seen HT members unite, put up addresses were you live and have heard stories of HT members making visits

Give this guy his money back and from the looks of it you arent that knowledgable about things. Hopefully this was a mistake.

its not a mistake, crower cams have the word "CROWER" stampe don them, its pretty much impossible to mistake them for stock cams

nah, go for the higher CR

how much of the total driving time will you be spraying> probably not that much, a fraction of the time youll be off spray. the 11.5:1 will give you maxi perf off bottle. just plan ahead when you are gonna spray; you should already be running colder plugs, maybe run some sort of timing retard unit in conjunction with the juice, and run some nice fuel...maybe even a little fuel cell filled with c12 and sep. pump for the juice

Edit- weak deal with the scam shazbot...what goes, comes---
