Default steel wool?/

where can i buy steel wool pads??
or the steel wool for the drills where i attach it on.
i'm trying to polish my rims.

You can buy steel wool pads at Home Depot or Lowes. They'll have a selection of course to fine. They also might have the tips you're looking for. If not look in the tool section and find a dremel with polishing kit.
Also might look into sandpaper.

i dont think youd wanna polish your rims with steel wool or sandpaper.

very fine sandpaper will get metal looking new again...i used 1500 grit on my header and made the stainless steel reappear from the bronze color and stains that were consuming it

do you have to use the fine sandpaper to take off the clearcoat, or can you take that off with a lower grit, then move to the fine grit for the metal?

If the wheels are painted, just use Aircraft Stripper to bring them to bare metal. They surface underneath should be very clean and smooth.

Steel Wool comes from in these grids:

3 = course
2 = medium
1 = fine
0 = very fine
00 = buff
000 = polish
