earlier today i was driving my car and i decided to push it to redline in second gear and then shift into 3rd and then as i shifted into third i heard a pop coming from the shiftbox. I pull over and try putting it in each gear and it feels different in 1st, 3rd, and 5th, but perfectly fine in 2nd, 4th, and reverse.

What is the problem here? I am scared that i broke something serious here or is it something that i can repair myself. It drives perfectly fine with no problems getting it into gear, but in the 1st,3rd, and 5th gears it feels like there is too much play while in gear.

Please help..any info would be great.
