Looks like it.
If you used a torch to braze that didn't you think that it would come right back off once the exhaust heat gets to it? I guess not. Get that thing welded on soon!

"Brazing is the joining of metals through the use of heat and a filler metal – one whose melting temperature is above 840°F(450°C) but below the melting point of the metals being joined."

So once that manifold heats up to the melting point of the filler metal (bronze) it will melt off leaving nothing to hold onto the wastegate flange, and the filler metal would probably fall into the turbo.
Brazing an exhaust manifold is only slightly smarter than making one out of aluminum.

the turbo is made by master power a company in brazil withc makes turbos for alot of european trucks and cars so they aren't some lil company that makes knock off products i just bought it for the guy who does

Apparently The SSauto stuff is all Reman. except for half of these t70's that are out.
One version of it is comeplete junk and one is actually nice.. I want to say its the Brazil one that is supposed to be worth while if you overlook the fact the turbo is comepletly useless on half of these setups people are using them on

how so? because people run tyhem at low boost/ out of the eff range?

yes the turbo im using is from master power from brazil
the turbo come with a lifetimne warranty
i did some research before i bought something from ssautochrome
i dont see y people seem to think these are junk?
if a turbo manufactur make turbos for lots of applications y is it junk just because it aint no precision or garrett doesnt mean its bad
and the fact that i did buy it of of ebay also has nothing to do with it
i just so a nice sized turbo for a verrrry good price and bought it
the turbo is a T61 not a T70 it has a id tag on it with the model#, serial# and all so

any company that puts a life time warrenty on a turbo is already out of business, no turbo will last forever, no matter what you do to it, so i'm going to call b/s on that part.
also like everyone else was saying if you want to braze something do some copper plumbing pipes
on another note ssautocrap is booty, if you are going to be cheap about your setup, then don't expect to be in the game long, do your research, and while you are doing that research save your money. That turbo is hella to big for your d series unless you are runnin 8000rpm everywhere, which means your motor would be built, which means you would have the brains not to cheap out on your set up.
i applaude the effort but research is everything

dunno if anyones mentioned it because i dont feel like reading the whole thread, but it looks like the turbo hangs pretty low from that pic..maybe its just me, or the angle...could run into oil drain problems

From: gravity rides everything...everything will fall, se GA/ne FL
there is a guy in savannah who brazes flanges on nice manifolds like the kooks. he warrants the custom work...if it falls off, he'll re-braze it
. yeah your w/gate WILL fall on the road. put a leash on it.

i got a question for all that commented that it will melt off
now me and my guy arent engineers or PRO fabricators but check this out
whats a softer metal aluminum or brass?
k now ask your self this if the brass would melt on my mani whos to say the the copper nuts holding my mani together dont melt?
and if aluminum is softer than brass why is it that the cylinder head on my car wont melt either come on it aluminum too so it should melt right?
and why would my wastegate fall off its bolted to the actual manifold( the cast part)
the wastgate isnt brazed to the mani we had just used a tiny bit so that we could have the area were the wastegate is placed to be biger the wastgate is bolted to the mani.
but me and my freind could be wrong too so im not doubting nothing until we see it work
people use copper gaskets dont they?
now me and my lil fab team might be wrong but we have are buddy thats a structual engineer doing some extensie research as to y this wouldnt work for me!
he says it should be fine and the guy who also did the mill work on the mani didnt say anything either and he builds sick huge horsepower **** so!
