simple lsvtec / ARP question... help needed
searched... to no avail, because i got different answers. do LS/B18B rods have to be machined to fit ARP rod bolts, also what size are needed??? im new to the all motor game and i need a RELIABLE setup
so far:
OEM bearings
B16 head stock
B18B Bottom End
PR3 Pistons
ARP RodBolts
GSR Water Pump/timing belt
Type-r Oil pump
GE lsvtec kit w/ ARP headstuds

It is not that they have to be machined to accept the rod bolts but, anytime you install rod bolts into a rod the big end needs to be resized because the rod bolts being pressed in can cause distortion. Hope that is clear
I believe they are 8mm rod bolts( I think) Just go to ARP's site.

I just had some pressed into my LS rods about 2 months ago! Many ls/vtec setups use these.
