JDM H22A Autotensioners
I still don't get why Honda engineers had to make the tensioner so complex. Both the manual and auto tensioner. Couldn't that have made something like the brackets used to keep the accessory belts tight??

Oh well.</TD></TR></TABLE>''The whole point was as the belt loosened over time the tensioner would automatically tighten the belt reducing the possibility of belt swap/skipping and problems. Unfortunately it also has to issue of failure, which they didn't expect/

hey fellas theres a recall on usdm auto tensioners all the way up to 2000. Just take your **** to the dealer and have em swap it. (the seals are bad on them)

Easy, with a good USDM tensioner, the original poster doesn't need to look for a JDM tensioner...

I couldn't find any recall info either. If they really do have improved auto tensioners, is there some exchange program, do you just have to buy them, or???
