i got a b16 swap in my car and now i need to pick up a egr valve. where can i find one, how much r they, and how hard are the to replace?

 

why do you need an EGR vavle it will do nothing if the CPU isnt hooked to it. which it wont be cause a B16A manual ECU doesnt know how to run it.

 

i was told taht the motor wont pass smog unless i had a 4 wire o2 sensor and a egr valve. maybe they r rong. im not really too shure.

 

if its a first gen b16 in a 4thgen civic/2nd gen rex you dont need a 4 wire o2 sensor

ya i got a 90 crx si. would i need the egr valve for emissions? or no?

 

They didnt want to pass my car today becuase the tech said i had a "Acura" motor in my car so my friend is going to go talk to him to try to let me pass i need to get around again

I want to slap that tech

 

I dont know the laws out there, but if the emmision are based on the "cars" orignal equiment the you dont need either of those items. If it based on the "engine" emmisions equiment the yes a automatic integra engine has an EGR valve but unless you are running an auto ECU it wont work. Can you fill me in on the laws?
