Default Do all D series trannys fit on D sereies Engines?

I have a D15b2, and was wondering if a D16z6 Tranny would fit on my engine?

i thought a Z6 tranny was hydro...is your car and EF? if so im not sure you want a hydro tranny in a car that isnt equipped to handle anything else but cable.

Not sure what an EF is, but a mechanic was going to put a ZC hydro in my car for $400.

Yeah, they pretty much all bolt up, but can you use it?

Thats the question.

AN EF is the Honda CRX. EF is a Japenese Spec CRX and not the correct chassis code for US Spec CRX (ED). Usually all CRX are referred to as the EF chassis because well...I have no clue...it just is.
