I want to know if any one of you guys have 1/4 mile times of a 98 D16Y8 in a CRX,
It feels like it is pretty strong, I've raced my friends 99 Si about 5 times and took him by about 2 car lenght. And last night I raced a 96 GSR and took him by about 1 car lenght in about a 1/4 mile lenght.
What you guys think?

i had a friend with a d16y8 in a crx dx i,h,e and azenis and he ran 14.88.

 

I will have this engine in my CRX si hopefully all finished up by this weekend. what tranny are you using? your stock si tranny? how did everything bolt together?

 

Had a z6 in with a cam, basically the same motor, and would walk on gsrs and si's, but i tell you what, im running a y8 right now, stock internals, and its alot faster than my z6. Maybe its the snail in front of it, hehe.... Im impressed with my y8 turbo, 9 psi and holding strong for over a month now.

i had a z6 in my hatch i/h/e plus ported manifold and bigger t/b i ran a 16.8 with a bad clutch and tires. the biggest thing is altitude differnece. i am near 3000 feet and in denver a mile high it would slow your times by a second or more

 

i had a fren with a D16Y8 in his CRX..stock everything with the swap he did 15.1.

 

depends on you the driver... take it to the track and find out

From his sig, it would appear that he has an ITR for sale and owns an NSX.
How's a mini-me work in that?

 

buddy of mine had a 88 hf with a y8 ran 12.98 but this was with gutted interior drag radials and some bad *** tuning by some place in texas!

 

im getting my d16y8 put in as soon as i get my si transmission shipped here . 88hf with a p28 ecu. headers. That about all for now

 

hmmm, Im running 15's with a Dx i/h/e/si tranny/si cam

but I have a y7 block and y8 head waiting in the garage, i was in no rush to do the swap cause im still getting potential from the 88 dx motor, but now... 14s?

im considering running obdo-pg7, with msd switch for vtec. maybe the swap will be coming soon....

 

will this motor bolt right in? with a dx tranny? I've never heard about this swap, looking for some info. Thanks

 

YEA DOOD I GOTS THE MIN-ME IN MY CRX, BUT I WRECKED THE HELL OUT OF IT.I JUST TOOK IT ALL APART TODAY. IMA PUT IT ON A D16Z6 I HOPE ITS FASTER. I GUESS WELL SEE BUT YEA MAN MIN-MES ARE SWEET
