Default Fuel Gauge Stays at Empty. Plz help.

Hello All. Today I had an alarm installed in my 92 Accord EX. After the installation, the fuel gauge stay at empty even though I pumped a full tank. It was working great before the alarm installation. I'm thinking the mechanic might have cut some guel sensor wire underneath the stearing wheel while installing the alarm. The jerk said he didn't do anything that could cost this. I believe there's a wire that tell the guage how much gas left in the tank. Could someone please help?? thanks in advance.

Yeah, there has to be a wire going back to the sender at the gas tank. I don't have a '92, but lots of times the sender is mounted along with the fuel pump, so there's only one opening in the top of the gas tank. Maybe it's just unplugged, not cut.

It couldn't be disconnected at the gas tank because it was working fine before this guy install my alarm, which he only worked under the steering wheel. That's why I think he might cut a wire going to the fuel gauge. Is this a possibility or is there any other? Thanks for the reply.
