96+ GSR tranny w/LS 5th gearset installed $750 FL/GA
I want $750 for it.
I have no problem shipping it if I can't get that much locally(FLORIDA/GEORGIA). I just ask that buyer pays shipping of $50-65. I think it's a fair price considering what the going price is for a good GSR tranny, plus an LS 5th gear set from the dealer, so no lowballers or trades. Cash only. (or Paypal+3%)
I'll be posting pics of the tranny tonight, and also will have available detailed pics of the synchros, forks, and gearsets taken today while the tranny was open.
I know this GSR tranny is newer than 1996 because it has the sealed ball-type differential bearings, and (had) a VIN tag on it. Unfortunately, there's no S80/Y80 sticker on it, and the VIN was removed by the auto salvager or previous owner.
This should be of little concern anyway though, since I've counted all the teeth and calculated the gear ratios (and taken pictures), verifying it as a GSR tranny. I've heard horror stories of Scam artists selling LS trannys as GSRs, since there's really no way to tell from the outside.
With gas prices as high as they are, you'll learn to appreciate the LS 5th gear. Luckily, I can drive to exit1 in GA and buy reg UNL for 1.70/gal
FREEBIE:Plus I'll throw in a dozen different Honda Factory Service manuals that I've collected on CDROM, in pdf format.
Everything from '88 CRX to '03 RSX and S2000. I WOULD NOT have been able to take apart the tranny, inspect & clean it, and install the LS 5th gearset without the Helm manual.
It's an invaluable tool, and everyone should have one that covers their car/engine/tranny.

I've got more pics if anyone wants them. just IM. I thoroughly inspected and cleaned everything when installing the 5th gear set. And I torqued everything to correct specs, and used HondaBond to seal the case back up.
