What rpm you guys are at when doing 80mph in 5th gear with a 94-2000 gsr transmission.

 

around 4k.

 

what gear? im assuming 5th. In 5th at 80mph im sitting at 4k on the tach. Pretty much dividing by 2 and subtracting a 0 all through 5th gear. (80/2 = 40 = 4k)... just the way I look at it. So at 90 you should be at 4.5k. Hope that help. Someone correct me if im wrong.

 

Well i have a 93 Ls 4door w/ a b18b form Japan but i am running my stock LS tranny and i run 4k at 80. It just depends from car to car.

 

A gsr tranny on what motor??? LS??? GSR???

 

b18c1 on s80/y80 gsr trans.

 

'98 GS-R @ 80mph = 4000RPMs

 

i believe it's closer to 4100......but who's counting?

 

4k in my 00 gsr

 

4K on my 00 GS-R as well

It doesn't matter... A GSR tranny will yield the same rpm's on any B series motor... Unless you have an LS and corresponding mph is higher than 7k rpms...


Back to the question, 4k rpms @ 80mph in 5th gear...

 

that's weird...i'm closer to 4500 if anything on my 98 jdm gsr. But i'm on a stock civic tach, might be off.

 

im right at 4200 on my tranny at 80mph. i have a gsr but it has a y21 tranny. i bought the car like that and they said it was stock. i dont know

what trans are you running? @ 4k on my LS trans in my DA i was pulling a little over 90mph in 5th. w/ 23(stock) wheel diameter ofcourse

 

i just confirmed again. 4400 rpm at 80mph. JDM gsr, but on civic stock tach

 

a gsr trans is 4k at 80
b16 /itr is about 4.4k at 80
ls is about 3.5 at 80

 

jdm gsr tranny = 4000 rpm @80mph on 5th gear

usdm ls = 3500 rpm @80mph on 5th gear


1995 ls tranny and 1997 jdm lsd gsr tranny

 

For comparison my 00 Eclipse GT (210hp V6) with a select-shift is:
3,000 @ 70 in 4th
3,500 @ 70 in 3rd

 

My 94 gsr would sit at 4,000rpm in 5th gear at 80mph.
