Default Ecu Swaps

91 accord ex. F22A4, Looking to swap the ecu, with a better model, but not sure which to go with. Have been told to put in a b16 ecu. Any suggestions on which to go with, and how hard of a swap is it. Mainly looking for better fuel map, not so much on higher rpm limits. Running to 6000 rpms, is almost a never occurance and past isn't planned when it does happen.

well considering the b16 ecu uses lots of sensors and gadgets that your motor doesn't have, you are going to be throwing lots of codes...what kind of modifications do you currently have?

Get ready to run lean and say bye bye to your motor. Unless you are running hondata, I do not advise just swapping out the chip. You get what you pay for.

your ecu is made to run select timing and fuel curves/maps

changing the ecu will do nothing but HURT your car..

if you want to change those specs , get it chipped and just make sure they dont go so extreme you blow yourself up~

id suggges you leave the ecu alone and just tune and upgrade the car!! leave the computer alone!

not too familiar with accords....but are you running obd1 or obd0?

we successfully remapped a 92 with an obd1 LS ECU, a non vtec civic ecu like the p06 will work as well. The timing and fuel had to be custom for the accord to get the idle right and keep the motor healthy.
