Default How to install an external fuel level gauge on a civic 89???

I want to install an external fuel level gauge. I have a civic 89. I'm thinking of using a power stick and sticking the sender cable with a good ground on the back of it and look around the cables behind the main gauge??? Will this work fine or does anyone know wich cable is it???
Help me please???

Not 100% sure about your post, but i can tell you that autometer seels all the parts needed to run an aftermarket fuel level gauge anywhere in the car.
