shipping RSX seats ..help
whats up guys. i have RSX seats for sale, and a guy wants to know how much shipping will be to florida. i don't have a scale to weigh them and i don't have a car to take them somewhere to find find out.
has anyone shipped RSX seats before? i'm looking for someone to reply that HAS ACTUALLY SHIPPED THEM. or possibly someone who's brother, best friend, etc has shipped them, and you know exactly what they paid. i don't wanna tell this guy $100 for shipping and it ends up only being $80, or it ends up being $130 and i don't get all my money.
anyone have any experience with this? thanks
**mods, sorry i posted this in GDD also. i was thinking it was much of a tech question, so i posted in there. but i guess this topic is fine for the RSX forum.**

Fedex ground would probably be your best bet. Just find two large boxes to put them in and figure the total up online with dimensions and weight.

dude, i know how to ship stuff. i said i didn't know how much they weighed. that should tell you that i can't enter a weight into the data.
i guess i'll have to be generous with the shipping and if it comes out less than my guess, i'll do a refund.

Take them out of the car, stand on a scale with the seat then without the seat. Subtract the difference
I guess I'm not sure what you're asking. The only positive thing that I think can be added to the thread is that I've found fedex ground to be the cheapest for shipping larger items than UPS.

i said i didn't have a scale. i'm not trying to be rude, but it seems you didn't read the first post at all. there's not much to not understand. i just wanna know how much it has costed someone to ship rsx seats. thats it. nothing to it.
i appreciate you trying to help tho.

*edit* You beat me to it lol. My advice would just be to guess because the weight shouldn't change it too much. Say maybe 30-40 pounds each to be safe.

not trying to be a dick, but go to walmart, buy a cheap as scale, weigh the seats, add 5 lbs for padding and the box, then go return it. they literally cost 10 bux. your only bet is to ask a furniture/appliance store for a spare box, possibly a stereo shop. if you have no luck, go to u-haul and buy a wardrobe box. slip the seat right in and fill it with paper/bubble wrap/whatever u want. they wont be moving much. just protect the rails really well.
first things first and last things last:
-buy scale
-weigh seats and add 5 lbs
-register on ups.com (ups store and ups locations are ALWAYS more expensive)
-enter shipping info
-pay for shipping using credit/bank card/check
-print out shipping labels and arrange a pickup or just catch a local ups dude and give them to him
-return scale.
