How much to Replace Transmission and Clutch on a 2001 Type R?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Parts plus labor, I know it's not going to be accurate, but I just want a estimate.
How many miles will they need to be replaced? I drive mad...

Don't drive mad. Drive happy.
It all depends on where you go. If you go to Acura, be prepared to spend close to $3k at least on parts and labor.

seriously, take it easy on the tranny and clutch, and they will last 150K miles or more...
(I have 86K on mine, and climbing
)
worry about replacing it AFTER you break it

About $1100 parts and labor at the local dealership. For just the clutch. Why do you think you need a transmission?
i highly doubt you would ever need to replace the tranny from normal wear and tear. you usually only need to replace that if something really odd happens. honda manual trannys are rock solid.
i would think you could get your clutch replaced along with master/slave cylinders for around 1k from a dealer. it would probably cost around 600-800 from a private tranny shop. i think my clutch job on my prelude cost me 750 and i kinda got f'ed over.
i've gotten 197k on a single clutch

if you supplied me with the clutch and transmission, i'd get 'er done for $125 and you'd be on your way in 2 hours or so.
as for prices, i remember in 2002, when i worked for acura i sold transmissions for $1750. and clutch kit for $240.
do the math.
