Hey, I have a 1992 Civic CX with a 1999 Honda SI CD player. My question is, I have everything working properly, but I cant seem to get the dimmer to work. It works for the climate control, but not for the cd player. I also have the Japanese SiR cluster and Im not sure if that makes a difference or not. I have an aftermarket reverse harness and there is one wire that is not hooked up, its a solid orange wire. There are 12 wires on the actual car harness, 13 on the harness that plugs into the car harness, and 14 that plug into the actual cd player. I will try and take a picture. Everything is working properly except for the dimmer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

AH HAH! I figured it out. I did a little searching and there never was a dimmer on the stock honda radio. But on the Si there is, so I tapped the dimming wire off the climate control and hooked it up to the Si radio, and wa laaa, dimming control on the radio!

No, you have to buy a reverse harness for the Si cd player, and then wire it to the plug that plugs into your car harness.

I should really do a write up on this, I knew it bugged the hell out of me and I only had it like that for a few hours. Let me know if you guys want one, if not then I wont waste my time
