yeah i'm not really into drilling holes in my hood unless i get a carbon fiber hood. I just found a new excuse to buy a carbon fiber hood .

All hood pins/locks require you to drill into the hood, unless there is some side-clamping mechanism that I'm not aware of.

If you have a stock hood, then forget them. That is unless you are competeing then they are required.

you are looking for the other type of hood lock. Use either the cable type or the electronically activated solenoid type. http://WWW.autotoys.com has both, JC has the cable type.

i know a couple of fellas that have the barrel locks on the hood...not sure where they got em but they said they were a bitch to get em to line up properly so they can lock...they said it was a 10X worse then installing regular hood pins..

autotoys has a good electronic hood lock,i bought the others but there ugly as hell unless you got carbon fiber,and i don't want to drill threw the hood as well.

You know a good idea for a hood lock would be a system that activated a giant magnet so someone could pull up your hood.
