Change of plans after having car for a month.
Now that I've had the TEG for a month now, I think I'm going a different route on engine upgrades. I was planning on a head swap and going from there. I really wanted a ls/vtec, but have decided against that route. I figured by the time I end up spending my money to get around 200hp out of a ls/vtec set up, I could purchase a new motor.
I was looking aroung on EBAY for jdm stuff and noticed this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...46098

I have no idea what something like this normally runs for, but wanted an idea. Is this and easier step to take to get more power and a cheaper way to do it? I love the look of this motor and could just imagine it in my TEG. I didn't do any searching, as I didn't know what to search for.
I have helped install a b16 into my little brothers CRX, so I have some knowledge and other to help me. Now if I decide to go this route, would I lose anything like AC, PS, or anything else?

it doesn't seem like an ITR to me. his info on the motor is wrong. b18c5 w/ 11:1??? and the 8900rpm rev limit??
b18c5 = 10.6:1 w/ 8400 rev limit
b18cR = 11:1 w/ 8600 rev limit
and the exhaust mani doesn't look right. i thought the heat sheild looked a little different on b18cR's... and b18cR's came 4-1 factory, b18c5's came tubular 4-2-1 factory. normal price for an ITR motor is 4000, so 1500 is way low.
i'd feel more comfortable w/ a pic of the ID plate and the cast codes on both block and head.
to answer your questions though... you'd retain ps and ac. its just a b-series swap, so you wont loose anything.
