if you ever consider buying one of those intake filters with the different colored sheilds around it and the filter itself shaped like a cone, don't waste your money. my car had been acting sluggishly lately so i came thru here and was reading some of the intake post and decided that it was probably time to change mine, which has only been on for about 10k. low and behold this piece of sh*t, the little chrome dome that is on the top of the filter that is inside the shield, this piece of cramp unattached itself from the filter. so there was a hole about 1.5 -2 diameter letting all kinds of debris in my engine. by the way is there anything i need to worry about here. will the dirt eventually dissappear or do i need to go in a clean it.
