US says b18c5
JDM says b18c (no 5)
JDM says b18c (no 5)
There's 2 JDM motors that are stamped "B18C"....one in which is an Integra SiR-G motor and the other is the Type R version. THe only way to distinguish one from the other is that the head on the Type R will be stamped PR3-? on top of the exhaust manifold versus the SiR-G motor will be stamped P72-?
why would the spec R head be stamped PR3? thats a first gen b16 head.

And the reason that the head is stamped PR3 is because the head has been used in production on the B16, B16B, B17 and ITR engines up until they were discontinued.
Also, one more thing to look for is the single manifold runner of the ITR as opposed to the dual manifold runners of the GSR. This is a dead give-away.

A few things that is true...
B18C is JDM and it's also either GS-R or ITR... Only way to tell if it is a ITR motor is look at the stamp on the head... PR3 is the ITR/B16 head... Only difference between the ITR and B16 is the valve train... B18C5 is the USDM/CDM motor's... B18C6 i believe is the Euro spec ITR motor's... The tranny has a LSD stamp on it also... U can also tell what year is the head by looking at the circle's on the head...
