the autolock is not much more effective than the club, and the club sucks.
The dead pedal does get in the way of the autolock working on DC intetgras, and if you put it on backwards, it comes off even easier. Invest in more security that that......or your gsr might not be there one day. Good luck

Definitely

Autolock and The Club both can come off in a few seconds.

I use my autolock all the time and it fits fine. All you gotta do is angle it so you can pull it all the way up.

all that the guarantee is that they would pay up to 2k dollars on your deductible, so if your deductible is 500 bucks thats all that they would pay. I belive i'm right about this, can anyone vouch for it.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by l4 soldier &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">i thought the autolock is supposed to come with some guarantee or some **** like if your car gets stolen with the autolock u get cash from them or something</TD></TR></TABLE>

any layer of security is better than no layer. I say get another one too so you can lock both the clutch AND the brake

sure, these devices are "i can get them off in a minute" deterrent. but if you don't have the tools, then you can't do it. i'd rather have it there as a visual to say, "okay, you're going have to waste 3 minutes or so to get these items off"

maybe in 3 minutes, someone will come and beat the crap out of the thief because that person has a 2 way pager transmitter too

someone should get that disclok thing :B

i plan on getting a club i dont know how much this would help but it would help some.. get a club and put ur shifter into 3rd gear then pull ur e-break up and put the top of the club on the shifter and the bottom part under the e-break so e-break cant go down and shifter cant go out of gear and with autolock on it would just stall over an dover if they could turn it on.

if the shifter isin 3rd, then it's angled away, so can't the club just slip off the shifter?

I meant adjusting it like this:

here is what I've suggested on a couple of threads, so let me just copy and paste it....ignore any OT comments that were specific for the thread I originally posted it in:

why are you guys so convinced car thieves are looking to Honda-tech for advice......don't you think car thieves learn from other car thieves

also to all those people posting put the autolock or club.........car thieves would laugh at that; those devices can be taken off in less than a minute each by experienced car thieves. It's annoying and would stop rookies, but won't do much to stop a car thief that has been there, done that.

1. one of the best alarms I've had experience with is Clifford, installed by a Professional and authorized Clifford dealer. they come with multiple kill switches, along with a lot of other technology and if installed by the right people, are near impossible to crack. They are costly, but you get what you pay for.

2. a second device, is the MVP MUL-T-LOCK, it is a device that installs to the chassis of the car, and comes up through the shifter console, then with a high strength/high quality mul-t-lock brand locking cylinder coupled with a steel shackle in a U lock shape, locks your gear shifter into the reverse position. The hardend steel bracket that bolts to the floor of the cahssis is made to be a permanent piece by break-off bolts and welding if you choose. It takes a professional locksmith hours to remove this device.
I've had people attempt to steal my integras (I've owned 5 tegs, along with my crx, they are the only cars I've ever owned), and the only thing that has stopped them is this Mul-T-lock. I procastinated in installing this device on my rex, cause I thought the autolock (on the clutch) and an alarm with a couple kill switches would suffice........but it didn't, there was video of my rex being driven away

Cost:
1.Clifford alarm depending on features: anywhere from $375 to $1500 installed by an authorized professional.

2. Mul-T-lock installed by an authorized professional (I've seen these installed wrong where the bracket was too tall, and thieves were able to bend the bracket slightly, still couldn't take it off but were able to gain leverage enought to bend it slightly....or if installed to high along the shift lever, the shift lever can be cut with some ease,so it must be installed correctly)- $250 to $375 depending on where you go. I have the name of an excellent and reputable installer in the ny area that has been in the locksmith bussiness for over 50 years. I can connect you with him if you want to meet up in the ny area

one final thing right off the mul-t-lock brochure: "Our security products are among the most advanced of their type in the world and are designed to decrease the risk of theft. It is important and advisable to use the most up-to-date security products, while bearing in mind that products that guarantee absolute prevention of theft do not exist, and probably never will

here are some pics of the brochure inside and out:

and here are some pics of the product installed on one of my tegs:

I hesitated putting this up on HT cause I was thinking what if car thieves see it and then start thinking of a way to break it..........but you know what..........the hell with car thieves, this product has been out since 1999, and apparently not many integra owners know about it outside of ny/nj, so I have to get the word out, and I don't care about the consequences, put this on your tegs my fellow HT'ers, and I'll tell you, based on experience living in a high theft area with skilled car thieves, that your teg has a better chance of being around when you come back for it.

Good luck to everybody with their tegs, and I hope that thefts do start to go down.

sorry for the really long post, but I had to do it.

I've posted this a few times on different threads, so I apologize for repeating myself.

this is why I park my car at weird angles, and in tight spots, with the steering wheel turned all the way to one side.
This makes it a bit more difficult to steal, even if you have a tow truck. Tow trucks and flatbeds still need to get a proper angle to attach their hoist/ramp/fork/ what-have-you.

i don't know ANYONE on Honda-Tech that has this device yet

from http://www.disklok.com/ which is distributed in California (i think it's from the UK)

only problem with this is that it may hurt your steering wheel. But I wonder if you can use the autolocak wheel cover, and THEN the disklok

yes, they can tow, but if you have a Boomerang or for NY, probably a Lo-jack Early Warning system, that will help you. GPS would be nice to see where your car is. All you gots to do is either go to a webpage, or call the number and they will tell you where you car is.

I had a 90 integra back in 1999, I had the club on the steering wheel, and my mul-t-lock. they attempted to steal the car, and couldn't due to my mul-t-lock..........but what does that have to do with the statement you just made:
they had removed the center rubber piece from the steering wheel, and unbolted it from the car, it seems they had bought their own device with which to steer the car away with cause I found my steering wheel outside the car with the club still on it.
Most thieves would have just cut the steering wheel, but anyway.
