Brake light not lighting up??

Brake light not lighting up??
This is for my coworker..she has a 98+ GS 4dr.
None of her brake lamps light up when she steps on the brakes. I checked out the bulbs and fuses (the one under the hood) and they are fine.
The parking lamps turn on fine (the correct filament for the parking lamp lights up in the brake bulb).
Any ideas?? There is nothing aftermarket in the car at all.
