Default Norfolk Divisional - Who's going?

Should be a pretty good event. My first on concrete, so it should be quite interesting. Who else is signed up? I'm runnin' #89 STS, preparing to be schooled by the likes of the Wagners, Doug Allen, and all the other Civic hatches. Not to mention the 328is driven by Terry Baker and Ed Raymundo... I ran against them at a VMSC event out at VMP and thoroughly got owned. Ugh... Ah well. Should be fun nonetheless.

I'll be there ACU4 is about 2 miles from my house. I get to run with Terry and Ed evey month. Also look out for a kid named Brent Carson he is on my heals and wooped up on me in the rain at ACU4 Sunday. You may have run with him too VMSC is his home club.

Its an awsome site and to those who havent been here before will be very impressed!!

I wish I would be able to go but some things have gotten in the way recently so I had to back out. Sucks as I would have had a chance to win the SEDiv championship. Now Doug Allen gets to have it. Would have been tough to beat him anyway. I just can't do a 9 hour drive for a divisional either.

The real Question is: Whos going to Nats?
I wont be in Norfolk, Im attending the Solo 2 At Roebling Road the 28th. Its 30 minutes from my house plus they could use my help with setup and getting things going..

Yeah, I've run against Brent with the VMSC. He's pretty quick as well. I'll need to come prepared, as I'm running with numerous disadvantages. One being tire/wheel size - 195/60 Azeni on a 14x5.5...

I'll be there in the #93 GS Toyota Celica GT.

My kid will also be running in his Jr. Kart in FJ1. What a friggin' adventure that POS has been. This will be the 4th event with it, and hopefully the first one without a mechanical disaster. First time out, clutch self destructs. 2nd time, starts sputtering and won't run. Post mortem reveals the plug has managed to gap itself to ZERO. Kinda hard to make spark whent he electrode is grounded out. Hell if I know how that happened. Last weekend, after terrorizing the neighborhood personally for about 15 minutes in the street Saturday afternoon trying to make sure we had exorcised the gremlins, get two runs in on Sunday and now the carb bolts have backed out of the head. W.T.F. Keep tightening between runs, but the special cut down allen wrench needed to do it right is home. Spend Sunday evening Lock-titing these fasteners in place, using as much torque as I dare on the crappy Briggs aluminum threads.

OK, sorry for the rant. Mentioned it, got carried away. Back to our regularly scheduled programming. See everyone at the SEDiv.....

I'll be there running FSP this time in Dave Martin's Accord. With the likes of Jinx, Joe Graves, Peterson, and Zimmer we surely will have our work cut out for us.

Well at least it is [edit: ooopps!] and has 4 doors, just like my car....

He's signed up....I guess we shall see. He's always been fast at every event I've seen him at. I remember in 2001 or 2002 he was only 1-2 tenths back of Daddio's DSP neon in the combined FSP/DSP class at Petersburg Pro in his FSP Escort.

I was working the course at a local event (maybe 40-50 entrants) last January and was watching this last generation stock Escort on Firestones being absolutely worked through the cones. Flopping around like a dolphin in a tuna net but flopping around the right way, ya know? I said to my co-worker at the time (Andy Clark, in fact), "Who is this guy? He's good!"

Walked back to the pits and Joe was standing next to it.
