Replacing OEM With Brembo rotors question
98EK Hatch
If you replace the front rotors for Brembo slotted and drilled is it a direct replacement or do you need to replace the caliper and so fourth?

as long as the rotors are the right size you should only need to take off the stock rotor and replace it with the drilled/slotted brembo rotor

Short Answer, save your money by Brembo Vented Blanks, not cross drilled and slotted.

this has been covered alot, but i'm just trying to save you some headache's, money, and future issues since they don't last as long and they're a lot more expensive (not to mention the prone to crack/break)
better braking = better pads and tires
I'm not condoning drilled or slotted rotors, but the main reason people get them is for show. (nothing wrong with that)
but if you honestly want better braking stick with blanks, they're cheaper, they won't eat ur pads, much much less prone to crack/break....it's a win/win/win/win situation unless you're going for the $*$BLING$*$ factor

omg...yes
fortunately after i used it the first time i never had a problem with those damn screws, but also get that damn screw that goes into the rotor hat so that taking off the rotor isn't a problem (ala no hammering). A little anti-seize on the back of the hat/hub and screws couldn't hurt either.
i know quite a few people who jsut don't put in those screws to avoid that problem.

I left them out on my car since I change rotors a lot, I didn't even bother with the impack driver, I just drilled the heads off, then took the rotor off nad un-screwed what was left
