from the looks of things, it looks to me like an "economy" civic (like a civic isnt economy already). http://www.domain-b.com/automo...y.htm

I believe the City where you are is the Fit sedan in Japan.

Hm...maybe lor~ Cause my country produce our own car. All imported cars are taxed around 200% to 300%. That's why it's kinda expensive to get imported cars which is of the lower end.

Anyway thanks EGlovr for the information page provided. It helps. Do share with me if there's any other pages regarding this model.

Hey Nesohu, I'm from india and yeah the City is called the same here too. Though i couldn't open yor link, Eglovr's link showed the older version of the City which has now been replaced with the the "new look city". It had 3 variants in India.
1. City 1.3 - 90bhp
2. City 1.5 - 100bhp
3. City 1.5 (Vtec) - 106bhp

I own a City Vtec.

106bhp@6800rpm

132nm@4700rpm

Weight - 985kgs

Power to weight - 108bhp/ton

0-60kmph - 4.41secs

0-100kmph - 8.96secs

1/4 mile - 16.96secs@124kmph

Standing Km - 31.08secs@156kmph

This is me ripping my Vtec.........

BTW, here's a search result pageon the city Vtec, i got from our online Indian car forum called "team-bhp". Check it out, the City was a big hit in India.

Nope Sushiboy, the 1999 Model City cant be the Fit. The fit version was released just last year. In India, it sports a 1.5 ltr i-dsi engine which pumps out 77bhp.

you're absolutley correct - I was wrong - it's the new City that's the Fit in Japan. I found a pic of a 1999 City from India

I think it's just the City all over the world.

By the way - that is an increadible pic of your City! I also didn't realize there was a big motorsports scene in India.

oh yeah SushiBoy, India has a large number of motorsport fans. We closely follow F1, MotoGP and WRC.

There are hills climbs and drag events held regularly. This year the event was won by a White Supra tuned to produce 750bhp. Though he managed just around 13 secs that day, it's been tested to do the 1/4 mile in around 10 secs!!

By the end of this year we should have our first 8 sec drag car.

thanks shan3nu for sharing all these information with me. Seems to me that i'll need to look out for the information from the India websites instead of those that i have locallin in Malaysia.

I haven't actually seen my car yet since it's back in my hometown and i'm in the middle of the exams. So i can juz imagine how it looks like from the way you people describe it to me.

Hey, nesohu.

Do they sell the 2nd generation Acura 3.2TL there? It would be titled Honda Inspire except in the U.S. and Hong Kong.

If you know about it, then please let me know. I am looking for some OEM JDM parts.

Dun think so. Most of the cars that we're having on our roads are mostly below 2.2 liters. As most of our cars are meant to be economical and for city use only.

Hey isn't the Inspire the one with VCM "Variable Cylinder management"? Where it switches off 3 cylinders when the car is cruising.

The Indian Accord, 3ltr, V6 was supposed to come with it but i don't think they brought it.

I was in Manila a few years ago and they also have the Honda City in the Philippines. I believe the City is their entry level vehicle. Kinda like the Echo is Toyota's entry level car followed by the Corolla.

they have them on their website: http://www.hondaphil.com

Yup, the City is the smallest Honda on offer, in India too. The Civic is supposed to be launched this year, it will compete with cars like the Chevy Optra, Corolla, Skoda Octavia and the Hyundai Elantra.

The 7th Gen Accord was released here last year. It comes with 3 variants.
1. Accord 2.4ltr -M/T "5" - 142bhp
2. Accord 2.4ltr -A/T "5" - 142bhp
3. Accord 3ltr V6 - A/T "5" - 221bhp

The Honda CR-V has just one variant
1. CR-V - 2ltr A/T "4" - 138bhp

R you refering to the 106bhp Honda City Vtec? U see in India the fuel quality is not that good, almost all cars run on 87 octane. 93 octane is available only in selected cities.

The same car in other asian countries produces around 115-120bhp.

Hey Vivioman, that City looks awesome. The headlights looks very good indeed.

This car has great aerodynamics, i believe it's got a "Drag Coefficient" of just .26!!
