Any new superchargers coming out for the GSR
I was just wanderin' 'cause I heard a rumour of hks makin' a supercharger for the GSR integra? Anyone heard of this or was just some bullcrap? Any other companies makin' anything completely new bolt ons for the integra?

Vortech? DOnt turn this into a "whcih one is better thread"
Bottom line, I havent heard of any new superchargers. It is hard to think anyone is even making new parts like that for the B series engines. I would think all those companies would be busy with K series projects.

If someone says one is better than the other, like "VorteK is better" please elaborate....what good is a comment like that without facts?
Havent heard about an HKS charger...cant imagine a new system would come out at this point either.

HKS is coming out with a G35 blower, but I highly doubt they would do it for the teg. Maybe the RSX? The K series is making gobs of JRSC power.

Read up and you will see. Also I heard Jackson is no good from 4 people even 2 shops told me to stay ayway from Jackson (they can tell you why they hate it) and all of them said Vortech is the way to go.

Haha what shops are these? CarTrenz? NewAgain?
I wouldnt say Jackson is the best route for most peoples intentions, but Vortech certainly isnt either. This is coming from someone who has owned one and just about owned another. Ive driven on both setups extensively. If you want a peaky powerband, get a big *** turbo. If you want linear power and throttle response, the JRSC is a good choice. Vortech is in the middle somewhere, giving you the worst of both worlds.

vortec cintrifigul is better. a roots style is limited on our cars to output because of the design and space. the cintrigul has more room (in theory) for improvment because of design. i dont like the looks of the vortec though.... blowers on 4cylinders (for the most part) suck because of simple displacement issues. our motors aren't good enough at sucking in air (compared to like a 5.7 liter). this limits us to a low blower effeciency.
but i havn't heard of an hks blower. the only ones i know of are JRSC, vortec and possibly an endyn setup http://www.theoldone.com

Here we have the stereotypical magazine racer. No "real" knowledge, but tons of know it all because he reads magazines like Super Street and Import Tuner.

All forms of supercharged boost have their place. All will have parasitic loss, and all will make boost instantly.
The centrifugal has a really nice powerband. It keeps going, and going, and going..... Using the larger V5 and blowing lots of air, you could see some serious peak power with that setup.
Advantage: It shares a similar powerband to our Hondas, can utilize an intercooler, and has awesome potential with the different sized blowers, and pulley configurations.
Disadvantage: Has a peaky powerband to those who expect a bit of low end torque.
The jrsc is good because it really is plug and play. With a proper install, and some sort of management 200+ whp can be tuned in your backyard. As you can see from my sig, there is a ton of power potential. I mean, just shy of 170lbs of torque, from a b16, at 2500 rpm to redline is cream in your shorts territory.
Advantage: Easy bolt on power. Peak torque from near idle.
Disadvantage: No intercooler means high IAT's. Power is limited by heat.
The intercooler is a sexy option.....

Thanks for all the input.... to the guys who defend the supercharger, your absolutely right. Sure turbo makes more peak power but the JR provides low end, affordability, and simplicity... All I want is some daily driven torque.
True on the low end, but your also only getting half the power....
Sine it is belt driven, its taking up the power that your motor is pushing out, and using that to have to spool up the turbine. Thus making more power, but not as much as a turbo would, since it is exhaust driven. In all honesty i would tell you to go turbo...but its all up to yourself.

the thing is this - eventually you'll get the bug to go turbo
Tweak - who used to want a JRSC, and now just wants a little turbo to feed the go fast crack pipe.
