Simulating Air Bag when non air bag Steering wheel used.
I was looking at my Helms manual, and it seems the machanics at Acura/Honda have a special tool when diagnosing SRS problems which is supposed to simulate a proper working airbag.
It is shown or page 23-311 of the 98 ITR Helms
It is called:
SRS Service
Connector (2Ohms)
07TAZ-SZ50200
So if what I am thinking is correct, all one would have to do to "Trick" the SRS system in thinking that there is a properly working Airbag attached and turn off the SRS light (Keep the system working) is just to pick up one of these babies and plug it into the connector right?
Has anyone tried this? can anyone confirm my theory?
Please no comments like "just pull the bulb" of course that would work, but it would not do anything for the functionality of the passenger side Airbag.
Thanks!
