Default greddy turbo kit

Will the Ls/Rs greddy bolt on turbo kit bolt on a type R? I think this is the cheapest way for me to achieve 200 whp on my ITR. Would I need the intercooler or is it just highly recommended?

What are your thoughts/opinions?

I was thinking about a custom turbo...but I can get the this turbo kit for a little over 2k brand new. I was thinking about all motor...but some camshafts and some bling headers = 2k. Only about 10-15 hp gain w/o tuning and other misc stuff I would need to maximize the potential of spec b/c.

Why 200 whp? Why not 600?

I want to keep my car for many more years and I dont have a big budget.
600 whp = $$$ that I dont have nor want to waste on turbo'ing a type R/

I went custom with mine... Tuned it with 5.5 lbs of boost and it netted me 235/163..
I will be going back to the dyno 4th of september to tune for 7-8lbs.. I hope to acheive 250ish running a 2.5 inch cat and a Fujitsubo RM01-A exhaust..
<---- Knows the bottle kneck is the exhaust but doesn't care at this point.
