90 Si Civic, no e-brake (?'s)
Hi , just got a 90 civic si hatchback and the ebrake doesnt work. It has the rear drums. Is there a screw to adjust the cable or tension? When i pull up on the ebrake it doesnt feel like its pulling on anything. Wondering if something rusted?
Also, how hard would it be for me to just switch out both rear drums myself? is it difficult to do. Theyre only 48$ a piece from napa.
thanks
Walter

id also like to add that the brakes do not feel strong at all. i do not feel very confident in them in an emergency stop. so right now im driving extra cautiously
There is a screw on the end of the ebrake arm, you have to remove the console deal to get to it, you "may" be able to get to it from under the car but I've never tried it. Also inside the drums there is an auto-adjustment deal inside of the drum, this may be old and not working causing your brakes to not feel right. And finally you should try bleeding your brakes to remove any air, this will cause a mushy pedal feeling.
