Is anyone else running Toyos at Mid Ohio this weekend?
Its about having the money and time to come out there. If it was held a California speedway would you have made the trip? I dont think so.

I thought they made a towing compensation for the far west coast guys. No? Maybe you'll bring that A car to Road Atlanta in November??
Here how it was $1200-1500 tow roundtrip. and you cant put anything inside you car like spares. Then Plane tickets for me and brother roundtrip $600. + food + GAS at the track + rental car to get to track + hotel + 1 weeks out of work thats $4K+ out of pocket just to get there and back its not worth it. So when i have that much money to throw away Ill see you then. for that mucj money i could race more than half season locally.
I'll be running Toyos. I looked at running Hoosiers but could not get wheels in time, plus I'd have to change the rear offset with a wider wheel as I'm kissing the trailing arm with 7" rims as it is.
Having run many different tires on Hondas I don't expect Toyos to be compedative unless there is light rain. Toyo makes tires which are cheap, perform well and are durable, however, they do not have the same level of grip as Hooier's and Toyo do not make a decent width which will fit on an EG Civic, plus Toyo's rebate of $150 is much less than the cost of a full set of tires offered by Hoosier for a prize. The 225/45-15 Hoosier is 1.1" wider and 1" smaller in diameter than the 225/50-15 Toyo, which is a much better size for my car as tire clearance is very tight.

I'll be running Toyos. I think racing at a track that I have not been on in years means that I should to try to keep the car as normal as possible.

Steve will be at the track.. I'll tell him to bring his paint gun... that is if he isnt too busy on my wreck of a car
toyos for me if the honda is ready in time (about 50/50 chance now i'd say, up from 30/70 a week ago!).
if i have to use the backup car, i have Gforce on the Probe (in rear) + Kumho 700 (in front).
4 days and counting! can't wait, either way!

No, but if it was held somewhere around the middle of the country, or a place like Road America, I would have. Of course, Mid-Ohio isn't exactly on the east coast.
Sorry you couldn't make it. Would have been great to have some more compeition, more of a nationwide representation.
