Stock rods w/ARP VS Aftermarket
I had saved $400 to purchase some aftermarket rods but llike a dumbass spent it on Hondata for my CRVTEC build up. A friend told me that my stock rods with ARP rod bolts will hold up just as well as aftermarket rods i.e Eagles. Would you get the ARP rod bolts or bite the sausage and spend $330 on the Eagles? I am sick of spending money, and am trying to save for other stuff like food

Why did u call urself a dumbass for gettin a hondata i am about to go crvtec on my eg and i wanted to know an economical way to increase my HP and continue my high 87000 rev range vtec use on the new crv without blowin the hell out of it nor speding a fortune.... i plan to bore it to 84.5 and get some stronger bigger forged pistons and maybe rods if needed.....any advice would be appreciated..thanks
so why cant you just save again and just wait a couple more weeks. Build it right or dont build it at all. But what hp and rpm's are you looking to have/run.
..i want to run about 12.0 seconds flat on 1/4 mile... and probably run around 86k to 87k rpm without a blowin a rod or crakin the walls....i do wnat to build my motor right but to build a motor right is an opinion many people have the phylosoply of just get as mush expensive stuff as u can no matter if u needed it or not just cause its good to have everything...i just want to make my motor run well and reliably i dont need to run 9 seconds so why build it like as if i was gonna be running 9's...i want to build it strong.. but not do more stuff than i need//my wallet needs to know what corners and be cut and which ones shouldn't....
oh you want rodas man. iam only reving to 8400 and i have everything you can think of and soon hondata also. I was scared to rev to stock b16/18 because of the the horrible r/s ratio.
