Cracks in body... Anyone else? And tire problems perhaps?

Thats on the roof. On passenger side and driver's side.
The weld on the driver's side door has also cracked, which holds the window frame. Which is probably why my window is a bit off.
But anyways, those cracks on the roof, I have a feeling those might be prone to rust. Any suggestions?
While I'm at it... When I'm driving, if I'm going over 30 and say change lanes, I can feel something shimmy through the wheel. Small minute corrections going left and right, but just when I turn the wheel. If I hold it, it won't continue to shimmy. Just when I initially turn the wheel. I tried rotating the tires. I don't know what to do. If I'm standing still, the wheel will turn smooth.
I'm so confused as to what might be wrong.
The front rotors are new too. I originally thought the pads might be rubbing against warped rotors, but its not.
Suggestions?
Wow, time to go check my car.
Is your car autocrossed? track driven?
How many miles on the car?
Driven in winter weather with salty roads?

not sure about the crack (might just be a crack in the paint?), but the other issue sounds like tire pressures and / or alignment...
Make sure your pressures are even on both sides, and near the stock spec (35 f / 33 r). If that doesn't help, get an alignment, and check for uneven tire wear.

I used to go up my steep driveway sideways... after a while, the chassis started to creak (1st car).
Now, I go up the driveway head-on... no creaking noises so far. gotta love stock suspension. (2nd car)

That, imo, is the end result of a hard impact or large stress. I could be wrong...
I have two of those on one frame rail (they dont go all the way through, they dont flex or move, etc) from my dukes of hazard incident in March. They are very small and unnoticeable, smaller than yours. And I had quite an impact.
Has the car been in any accident at all?

Even though I only have a GSR, I noticed that mine had those roughly 3 months after the purchase of the car. Wasn't tracked or driven real hard. Never found any other stress cracks.
I have the same cracks on my 98. It's because of the mad 3rd gear VTEC torque, yo, tears **** up. Just kidding.
I think it's just a rusting weld, underneath cracking paint. Damn Chicago winters. My family's old integra ('87 vintage) turned into a serious rust bucket after 5-6 years, it started out slow but the wheel wells started rusting out of control (bondo + paint every spring), followed by the roof around the hatch and windshield. My '84 prelude wasn't as bad.
Regarding "tires"/shimmy: My wheel bearings did the same thing when they went bad. One too many HPDE's cooked the bearing grease I guess.
But yeah, if you rotated the tires, and the rotors aren't warped, bearings would be my guess. Does it make a sound (whirring) when the shimmy happens?

No sound, and the car hasn't been in any major impact. Its been in 2 small ones, where I was taped in the rear OF THE CAR not my *** by a car in stop and go. No marks even on the bumpers. I'm the only owner, so I know. And a few auto-xs, and a 2 track events. My chassis made creaking noises before, and the dealer had the pillars re-welded. The thing is this is the top of the roof, where least salt is prone to get. Plus I have a lifetime rust warranty with ziebart, where I get it protected every year. I just don't get how these cracks happened..
I never heard a whirring. I might throw my kosei k1's back on with my winter tires to see if they do the same thing. But I think they dont, I would have noticed it.
Comp 97 gsr, ccfries, zgyspeed, have you guys noticed any rust in the area?
Wait till I take a picture of the one by the door...
Doesn't Acura have some sort of 6 year body rust through warranty?
Or is that Gm...

The rust perforation warranty is for five years and unlimited mileage. It is spelled out in your owner's manual, which is a handy place to look for answers to questions like this one.
Here's what it says:
Acura will repair or replace any original body panel that rusts completely through from the inside out (perforated by corrosion). This includes panels previously repaired or replaced under this warranty. Rust that does not perforate, but is caused by a defect in material or workmanship, is covered under the New Car Limited Warranty. You will not be charged for any parts, material, or labor under this warranty. The decision to repair, rather than replace, any rusted body panel will be made by Acura.
This Warranty Does Not Cover:
- Surface rust on the underbody or any other part of the vehicle except body panels.
- Rusting of body panels that were repaired, replaced, or refinished after retail sale of the vehicle, unless those panels were repaired or replaced under this warranty.
- Body panel rust caused by abuse, misuse, or lack of maintenance.
- Rusting where the paint has been damaged by road hazards such as stones and debris.
- Rust caused by immersion of the body panel in water, mud, or sand; or resulting from exposure to corrosive gas or industrial fallout.
- Paint matching. (Acura reserves the right to decide how much of the repaired or replaced panel, and any adjoining body panels, need to be repainted to match the original finish. Acura will not, under any circumstances, authorize painting the entire vehicle strictly for the purpose of paint matching.)

If the day comes that the roof has to be redone, I'll pay extra for the GSR stock roof to be installed

I don't really see anything. However, in dk's case, it's obviously rusting from the inside out. If I were you, I would get that fixed immediately before it starts to spread tp the panel.

My driver side is cracked and rusting similar to yours. It spent 2 years in Texas, not rusting (no salt). 4 years in chicago.
My pass. side is cracked but no rust stains yet.
Since it's in such a well hidden place, sanding the old paint off and touching-up the area would be a really good idea. Make sure to remove the weather stripping far enough to get the crack where it started. It's gonna be pretty dirty in there, and probably holding all the salty goodness too.

Well yea, but it was raining and I thought it'd be eaiser if I just posted the question instead of going out and getting wet.
Upon closer examination, it appears to be just the paint. However, I think I just might take it to a body shop and get an opinion. I just don't want to leave it at a body shop. Maybe I'll pull the roof molding off to get a better look. Although I pried the end up slightly and now its permanently bent...
