Buy a Odyssey ODY-PC925MJT, I have one in my 1990 Civic Si and I love it. It charges and works just like a regular car battery. Summit Racing sells them for $154.95 which is much more than I paid for mine. Go to this link:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...34284
and e-mail the guy using the ask a seller a question link. I used to have his e-mail address, But now I can't find it. Tell him you want a Odyssey ODY-PC925MJT and you will pay him with Paypal. You can get the battery for $115.00 shipped to your door. I bought mine over a year ago from him and I trust him 100%. You will need to pay him using Paypal. He is factory direct and using Paypal he does not need to pay anyone to process shipping and that is why the price is so much lower than anyone else. Hope this helps!

hawker will charge off the alternator.

p.s. if you're truly looking for a way to save space in that tiny engine compartment, relocated your batt. to teh trunk like I did. I never turned back

I bought the PC925MJT for the extra amperage because I have an amplifier and a subwoofer in my car. I have no dimming of the headlights or dash lights even with my audio at loud volumes, I also needed the extra space so the battery would fit next to my intake under my hood. If you do not need the extra amperage definitely go with the PC680MJ.

I got a PC 680 in my car.
Onyl complaint is that when it's down, the battery likes to discharge pretty quick. Gotta make sure to pull off those terminals!

never had a problem with down time... my battery has sat for days without being used and starts the car perfect.... you must have something else going on...
yeah, never had that problem, mine has only discharges once when I left my park lights on and was gone for work for two days. ever since then I have never got back up to 14.4 volts, the closest I've been is 14.2.

I don't understand the problem you are having either, You must have some sort of voltage draw off the battery. Odyssey Batteries are designed with a new dry cell technology that allows them to be stored for up to two years without requiring any trickle charging. This is one of the reasons I bought my battery so I did not need to worry about battery maintenance while my car is stored during the winter.
You guys just convinced me to go for the hawker vs. the optima, but I still do not know which one I should go for I read all the description on the pc680 and pc680mj but what are the differences ? Is it the metal jacket , and if so what is the purpose of it ? Protection for the battery walls?

My car sits unused for a month or so at a time. The small draw that the memory functions of the radio and clock have drained the battery. It still had SOME charge, but not enough to crank the car. I've been going out about once a week to crank it and drive around a little since I discovered this little problem. It wasn't ever an issue with the big heavy Optima that I had in there, but it was to be expected from a teensy battery, I suppose.

you got it. just a metal jacket to protect the sidewall. i have mine in the engine bay still so i got the MJ to protect it. if i was putting it inside the car i would have gotten it without it.
