96 usdm gsr dropped into a 91-rs/ls with headers, catback, cai, hondat, vteh head
would that give me 200-220 hp? not whp just plain hp
or what else would i need t o do to get to that??

what is it gona take to get me to 200-220 hp(not whp) WITHOUT turbo

 

engine alone is about 150whp
i/h/e - 12hp (hopefully)

cams/camgears - valvesprings and retainers
higher compression pistons maybe stronger rods

theres 200 if u get the bigger cams
JUN2's Toda B's

or even bigger with JUN3's and TODA C's

also don't forget to tune.
all together about 4-5 grand

 

Since you don't want to go turbo...a Vortech Supercharger or NOS would get you to 200-220 easily.

 

get a b17 tranny or jdm xsi tranny for better gearing than the stock tranny... might as well get some lsd to put that power to the ground

 

Don't forget a good header.... JDM 4-1, DC JDM, Spoon, etc...

 

all it takes is money. i doubt you'll hit 220.

 

A friend of mine has a 98 GSR and he puts out a little over 205hp at the flywheel.
Here are his mods:

AEM cold air intake
JDM type R 4-1 headers
Carsound high flow cat
Tanabe exhaust
Type R camshafts
Skunk cam gears
AEM pullies
Civic type R pistons
Type R rods
B&M fuel pressure regualtor
Skunk intake manifold
JG 64mm throttle body
dyno tuning

 

you dont think ill hit 200-220hp (Not whp)
the gsr says 170hp usdm
but i guess the mods only add like 10-15hp
guess its NOS i go, but is that gona blow my engine apart like crazy? a 50shot

 

30hp is quite a LOT if you think about it...

do you have any idea of the 1/4 mile times that set up yields? That is a pretty solid/attainable bolt on package.
