Making final arrangements to sell the CW ITR...
How long does it take for four idiots to do a tranny and head swap? Roughly 9 Hours. LoL
So if last weekend wasn't enough tranny fun for me I had to open up another can of worms. Well it was time I swapped the head out for the OEM unit and the Transmission for a new one. BTW, I have both on sale and there's absolutely nothing wrong with either. I just replaced it to help sell my ITR. $900 for tranny. Alot of talkers but no one has the money. The head is currently pending sale. Ferrea valves, yummy.
So I arrive at my buddy Jenson's(HBgsr) place at around 9:00ish Saturday evening. We get everything ready and prep the tranny and head to be swapped.

We start working on the car around 9:30ish. My buddy DJ was in full effect and Hiroki (Eva01) was also there to help. Our friend Mike was our official parts/tools holder and handler.

We do the usual. Pull all components related to head and tranny, but decided to do the transmission first. Pulled the axle. This is how we do it by the way, makes it a little easier and cleaner to work around. Separate lower ball joint. Separate stubborn suspension fork bolt. Pry axle out and push it aside.

DJ was assembling our brand new OEM head and ran into a couple problems. But nothing a big hammer couldn't fix right? Hey it's not my car. j/k

The entire time, there were alot of mixed feelings. Jenson was having female problems, while DJ was dreaming about being in some other place other than where he was and Hiroki was just constantly bombarding us with intellectual Rick James quotes. Not to mention most of us were hungry. Somehow or another all just looked like a bunch of potheads. I was dosing on and off while sitting, standing, and laying down. I was so tired. My fatique mixed with my ADD tendencies lead us to other projects that weren't exactly related to removing and installing a new head. This pretty much wasted a GOOD bit of our time.

So with a charred driveway and portions of the garage charred we went back to work. Assembled everything and I was in bed by 3am. Woke up this morning around 11:30 and put everything together and I was out by 3pm. Lots of fun.
