Honda Challenge National and Hoosier Tire Midwest announce Hoosier Tire Contingency

8/16/2004 – Lexington, Ohio. Hoosier Tire Midwest’s Dave Garner says, “Give 4 Hoosiers Tires to the Class Winners of the Honda Challenge Race!” Honda Challenge is delighted to announce Hoosier Tire’s participation in the Honda Challenge National presented by G-Sport, August 20-22nd at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington Ohio. The Honda Challenge National presented by G-Sport will be occurring in conjunction with the Triple Crown Tuner Challenge, a two-day car show featuring the hottest custom-tuned street cars competing in three classes - speed, style, and sound - for ultimate bragging rights. Honda Challenge is pleased that Hoosier Tire will be joining the ranks of sponsors supporting the Honda-Acura exclusive series. Honda Challenge promises the most exciting racing of the weekend as over 40 competitors from as far as west as California, and as far east as New Jersey compete for the title of the “Best of the Best”.

The Honda Challenge Series, sanctioned by the National Auto Sport Association, NASA, consists of five different classes of Honda-Acura only products. The H1 class represents the fastest of the group while the H5 class represents the slowest but no-less exciting group. The Honda Challenge series is always a spectator favorite much due to its fender-to-fender racing and the very exciting Formula One / World Challenge – style standing starts. This weekend will be the first of its kind for Honda Challenge as the series brings together favorites from all NASA regions across the country. This event will be taped and edited for a future TV production. Effect Industries of Michigan will provide these services.

Dave Garner and his crew from Hoosier Tire Midwest will be at the Mid Ohio Sports Course with a semi-trailer load of Hoosier tires and a complete tire service shop. It is with great excitement that Dave Garner of Hoosier Tire Midwest has offered this tire contingency for Saturday’s featured Honda Challenge Event. It is very simple. Race on Hoosiers, display the Hoosier decals and you are eligible! In the each of the H1 and H4 classes with 10 or more participants, Hoosier will award 4 tires to the first place finisher, 3 tires to the second place finisher, 2 tires to the third place finisher, and 1 tire to the fourth place finisher. In each of the H2, H3, and H5 classes with 10 or more participants, Hoosier will award 3 tires to the first place finisher, 2 tires to the second place finisher, and 1 tire to the third place finisher. In the event that any class has more than 5 and less than 10 participants, Hoosier will award 2 tires for the first place finisher and 1 tire for the second place finisher. Honda Challenge participants will receive specific program guidelines upon registration at the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course. For more information, contact Jon Marhefka at ljracer@sbcglobal.net.

Call Hoosier Tire Midwest at 574-936-8344 to place your Hoosier Tire order for the Honda Challenge National presented by G-Sport,. Your order will shipped free and will be held for you at the Hoosier Tire Service Trailer located in the Mid Ohio paddock. Tires will be available without pre-ordering, however, to ensure that your size is available on race day, place your order before 3:00 p.m. on Thursday August 19, 2004. Hoosier Tire Midwest will arrive at the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course on Friday morning.

what happened to you on sunday at road atlanta? 2nd.????? Congrats on saturday.... I did see Sam knocked some nice time off his best lap! 1:41's on sunday....
