ok how does it work with the smog check, i hear it illegal to swap a jdm engine cuz it wont pass smog but i also hear that if you do some mod to it, then it will pass. any info on that? cuz im plannin to get h22 on a 95 accord

jdm engines will pass, but you need all the emissions and smog parts for the usdm motor on your jdm motor. i haven't seen it done for an accord with h22a yet but i've seen civics and crx's swapping in a jdm b16a converting them to obd1 and running all the smog and emissions crap to pass bar. i'm working on my 97 h22a4 swap into my 96 accord. i'm staying obd2 and running everything that is needed, hopefully i'll pass.

 

if you cant pass, retard your timing all the way back.
