Did you put the little ring in the bottom of the WG when you installed it? It sits on the valve and forces it to seal once the WG is installed.

he is using the 44mm vband, does it even have a fire ring since there is no bolt up flange?

Sure does. I am running the 44 V-band as well. I just couldn't find a picture of the 44 with all the accessories.
