Default Which engine for new Accord?

Looking to buy an Accord probably an '01-'03. The V6 seems much more refined but I hate the idea of having to drive an automatic. I'm not going to be doing too many performance mods to this car and don't want to spend time/money swapping engines or tranmission later. Any thoughts?

Yes, but I forgot to mention I want 4 doors and, based on what I've read, they only offer the V6 manual in the coupe.

The new Accord sedan only doesn't have a manual V6 or even a manumatic blah blah blah mode. The I4 is plenty, plus if you ever decide that you want to upgrade the engine you won't have to worry too much about completely destroying your tranny. A manual transmission will take so much more abuse.
