Default 99 Civic Black HOusing Headlights

I was wondering if there was a bad side to the Ion Blue Tint on the Black housing headlight for the 99 civic ?

had some on my 96 ex. only problem was that i had to get amber bulbs for the corner/parking lights to pass inspection cuz my stock bulbs were white and there wasn't an amber cover in the housing.

I've seen these headlights before, but have never seen a set turned on. What exactly does the covering do to the light output?

it just makes the light output a little yellow, and a little less bright. main reason why i ditched mine.

i had the K2 HID kit on my civic with blue ion/black housing headlights... the output was greenish and very scattered, i put my OE headlights back on and there wasn't as much scatter and the out put was more white.
