New rims, some tech tips plz
Hi I have a 2001 honda accord lx sedan, and i need to know what sorta rims can fit my car.
I was interested in the Enkei RS-6 16" just cause I can get the corresponding tires for really cheap, p205/55 R16 (basically the stock tires from the rsx)
Anyways I was totally confused with offset, the rs-6's have an offset of 38 i believe. Will this offset have a big problem ??
I heard from another source that I'd need a offset of at least 40 or mid 40's..
Does this make any sense? Also does anyone know what the offset of the stock wheels are for the lx accord?
Thanks.

Uh...the EX rims are only 15"'s so the 16's aren't gonna look too small with the proper tires.
The proper offset is +40 and there are a bunch of rims that are offered with that offset so I would find a set you like that fit perfectly

You're right, and wrong.
EX I4 wheels are 15". However, EX V6 wheels are 16". We don't know which model he has.
Some 16" rims on Accords do look nice. I can only think of RedneckDave's coupe with black GT3s. OF course, it's slammed.
Without a nice drop, the car will look like a 4x4. Plain, and simple.

Dude, he said he has an LX right in his post!! Again, with the right tires it will look like less of a 4X4 then the I4 EX, which is a nice car that doesn't remotely resemble any truck I've ever seen

Ahem.
You said EX, buddy. And I was just saying how you were right, and wrong with your statment.
And as for it not being a 4x4 without a drop.... sorry LX4CYL. Had to do it.

And...

And here's mine shortly after I first got it...

Exactly.
Instead of getting wheels, I invested my money into a set of Tein coilovers, which I am very happy with. Rides nicer than stock, IMO.
Wheels are next on my list, though.

Yeah, I was just saying that since Honda made a car (not his car) that had 15" rims, an upgrade to 16's wouldn't be too small. I agree, the LX in the first pic looks jacked up but those are pretty low-profile tires. If you go with tires that are more proportional to the stock setup it would minimize that effect. But obviously the best route would be to drop the car. I don't think 16" rims on a car are too small with the correct setup, but that's just my opinion

lol, thanks for the responses guys,
Guess my target enkei rs-6, offset 38 mm is out of the question huh?
So if i did get the RS-6, what would happen considering i need 40mm+ offset?

I think 5th gens look good with 17s but the 6th gens are a bit bigger, I had some 5 spoke 18s that I thought looked pretty good. Kind of depends on the drop of your car (if any), whether or not you have a kit, and the style of the rim itself.
