hello, i have a 1985 accord se-i and ive been having some problems latly. when i turn on my car some times it will start then shut itself off. another thing is when im driving and i accelerate hard or agressivly the car sputters and feels like it has no power at all. im thinking it could be a few things. it could be bad gas because i combined BP gas( really bad gas alot) and shell (i always filled up with shell). it was a 1:1 mix so that could be it. another thing im thinking is my spark plug wires. they are 8mm accel high fire yellow wire. or im also thinkin it is my fuel injectors. i put gumout in the gas tank and thats been running for some time. the fuel injectors are aftermarket and have been in for a few months. any ideas what it could be? thanks

 

any one think they know. car is fuel injected so if anyone has had anyproblems like this in the past tell me what u did to fix it. ive also noticed alot of low power so i have no clue

 

this may not be too helpful, but i figured i would atleast try to help. it sounds like a fuel problem...i did a search on car dies...and i skimmed this thread and it talks a bit about fuel and ignition stuff....might be able to apply it to your accord.

in another one someone mentioned the coil and all that good stuff. like i said, im not too sure about this area, but i would start with check your fuel system (dunno if yall have a main relay or not). sorry i cant help any more than that...hopefully someone will help ya out a lot more soon. good luck man

 

well if anyone cares to know what the problem was the car was arching. i took off all the spark plug wires then cleaned them and put them back on and it was good as new.
