Default K20A Accord

Can you put a K20A I-Vtec in a 90-93 accord? If so how easy would the swap be? What kindof times would it run on the 1/4 mile. And what other mods would be best to do to it like turbo, cold air intake, headers and the like.

It'll probably fit but no one makes mounts so it would be a custom job.

yeah... you go with that turbo and headers, let me know how that turns out. Try using the search function, learn alot more before you do anything.

um......no it doesnt.......why would you want the k20......why not the k24 w/ 6 spd tranny??.......but anyways, its just a dumb idea, and you sir need to learn what exactly CAI, headers, turbos, etc. are, and what they do, because clearly their just names youve heard, and you just throw them out there like you know what your talking about......no one makes k series mounts for the 4th gen accord......its a hard enough swap into the older model civics as it is

Wow! Angry people!

Well I hooked my CAI right up to my turbo and it runs through a set of DC Sports headers. But since I dont have a blow off valve I have one of those noisemakers in my muffler

I dunno why you guys are gettin all mad at this guy. he never said that he was going to run a cold air and header with a turbo. if you read his post it seems that he is wondering what would be his best options. if he said turbo and header, then yes, yell at him, but in reality he just asked what he should do, turbo, header, cai. commas don't necessarily mean and. christ, i think sometimes you guys just enjoy making new people feel like idiots here. people see this as a way to get help and learn about cars. sure the search function is useful and should be used prior to starting a thread, but senseless flaming doesn't do the forum any good. and then if you think about it, if you don't like the thread, why post on it and say "search you idiot" when if you would leave well enough alone it would fall to the back and the guy will eventually search it anyways.

anyways, i do agree that the K20 idea was dumb from the start. the H22 though is not a bad idea at all. with that swap, header, cai and some suspension upgrades you will be having way more fun than you would ever need. or you could go turbo, but then that can get pricey, even though you get the most horsepower per dollar.

a K20 has no trq besides the fact the motor/tranny is worth more than your car.

Exactly. Why spend so much money and have less torque and the same horsepower as you would with a very cost effective H?
