drive axle vibration
I just replaced my drive axles. I took the axles off the car and took them to autozone to get some remans...but the remans didn't have the counter weight on them.? The manager assured me that the new remans do not require them.
Went home and installed the new axles, replaced ALL of the torn boot-thingies on the pitman arm and steering knuckle, and topped off the transmission.
I jumped in the car and I noticed RIGHT AWAY that the car was shimmy'n on acceleration. Thinking that things just needed to settle in, I jumped on the main road and floored it, burned first, scratched in second and third...hit fourth and the car is STILL SHAKING on acceleration!
WHAT GIVES?
